Harry Gow Sharing Cakes earn permanent place in Asda Scotland

We made it.

Harry Gow Sharing Cakes have officially earned a permanent place in selected Asda Scotland stores after what turned out to be a pretty successful promotion period.

Which means the cakes are staying put. Properly staying put.

For a wee bakery from the Highlands, still scratch-baking everything in Inverness, that feels like quite a big deal.

The Sharing Cake range first landed in selected Asda Scotland stores earlier this summer, with Vanilla Raspberry Slice, Lemon Slice and Butterscotch Slice heading out into cake aisles across the country.

And yes, they are still made the Harry Gow way. Scratch-baked, no fake bake, no shortcuts. Just now with a permanent spot in Asda.

What started as a promotion has turned into something a bit bigger thanks to everyone who went looking for the cakes, bought them, sent us photos, tagged us, asked for the store map, picked favourites and told other people where to find them.

Subtle, you were not.

And we loved it.

Behind the scenes, it has been a proper team effort too. From the bakery team making the cakes, to the people packing, planning, delivering, replying to messages and generally keeping the whole thing moving.

So a big thank you to the Harry Gow team, Asda Scotland, Scottish Bakers and everyone who helped get the cakes from Inverness onto shelves across Scotland.

Ryan Sullivan probably deserves an honourable mention too, mainly because one cake reaction managed to bring a very useful amount of chaos, comments and Dream Ring chat into the mix.

We’ll take it.

Harry Gow is still very much Highland. Still scratch-baked. Still us.

Just now with a permanent place in the cake aisle.

Not bad going.

We’ll take that.
