Win a Never-Done-Before Harry Gow Bakery Tour

Win a Never-Done-Before Harry Gow Bakery Tour

Yes, really. This took a lot of convincing so you better be excited about it.

To celebrate Harry Gow’s new sharing cakes arriving in Asda Scotland, we’re giving one winner and a guest the chance to go somewhere most people never get to go: behind the scenes at the Harry Gow bakery.

You’ll meet the team, see where the magic, icing, trays, crumbs and very serious cake opinions happen, and get a proper look inside the bakery behind some of the Highlands’ most-loved treats.

And because this is not a normal giveaway, we’re also creating exclusive Harry Gow merch just for the competition winners!

Not merch you can buy.
Not merch you can ask for at the counter.
Not merch your cousin’s pal can “maybe get you”.

Winner-only merch. Made specially for this. Very serious. Slightly ridiculous. Exactly how it should be.

The winner and their guest will get a never-done-before Harry Gow bakery tour in Inverness, taste the new Asda sharing cakes, try a few Harry Gow favourites, meet the team, and take home the exclusive merch created just for them.

How to enter (This is the easy bit. The sharing is where it gets complicated.)

Harry Gow’s new sharing cakes are landing in Asda Scotland, and we want to see where they end up.

To enter:

  1. Spot the new Harry Gow sharing cakes in Asda Scotland.

  2. Take a photo of them on the shelf, in your trolley, in your basket, at home, or in the middle of a very loose interpretation of “sharing”.

  3. Comment on our official competition post telling us where you spotted them and who needs to know Harry Gow is now in Asda Scotland.

  4. Share your photo by tagging us, sending it by DM, or adding it in the comments where the platform allows.

A shelf photo counts. You do not need to buy the cake to enter.

Buying it is, of course, strongly understood.

Acceptable cake evidence

Shelf photo? Yes.
Trolley photo? Yes.
Kitchen table photo? Absolutely.
One fork situation? We will allow it.

Basically, if Harry Gow is in the photo and it was spotted in Asda Scotland, you are on the right track.

Dates for your diary (Yes, cake can be diary-worthy.)

The competition opens on 23 July and closes on 6 August at 23:59.

That gives you two shopping weekends to find us, photograph us, and alert the appropriate cake people.

A few important bits before you start planning your bakery tour outfit

(Hairnet chic is encouraged, but not guaranteed.)

A few sensible things before anyone gets too carried away:

This competition is open to Scotland residents aged 18 and over. We love enthusiasm, but rules are rules.

The prize is for one winner and one guest, so choose wisely. Preferably someone who will not embarrass you near cake.

Travel and accommodation are not included, so the winner and guest must be able to make their own way to Inverness. We provide the bakery. You provide the journey.

The winner will be chosen at random from all valid entries and contacted by a good old DM. They’ll have 48 hours to reply before we pick someone else, so maybe do not ignore us. It could be cake calling.

The bakery tour date will be arranged with the winner and will depend on bakery access, team availability and health and safety requirements. Basically, we need to make sure the bakery is ready for visitors and not in the middle of important icing-related business.

The bit our sensible person told us we had to include

We would rather be talking about cake, but apparently competitions need rules. Fair enough. Here they are, before anyone starts claiming their cousin’s neighbour’s trolley photo was robbed.
