With Our Whole Highland Heart: Proud Sponsors of Highland Heart-Full

At Harry Gow, our roots run deep in the Highlands. The places, the people and the causes that matter here matter to us too. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to sponsor Highland Heart-Full, a beautiful HeArt on the Highland HeArt Trail, now on display On the Green in Drumnadrochit.

This striking sculpture has been painted by the talented Clare Silver, whose design captures the calm, timeless beauty of Loch Ness while weaving in the trail’s iconic sunflower, a symbol of hope, care and growth.

It’s a piece that stops you in your tracks, not just for how it looks, but for what it represents.

A Design Full of Meaning

Highland Heart-Full features two views of Loch Ness, one from Dores and the other from Fort Augustus, celebrating the loch from different perspectives. On the Fort Augustus side, the sunflower takes centre stage, glowing against the cool blue tones of the water.

The contrast is striking, but the meaning runs deeper. The sunflower represents the incredible work of Highland Hospice, and for Clare, this connection is deeply personal.

Born and raised in the Scottish Highlands, Clare has been painting since she was a child, drawing constant inspiration from the landscapes and landmarks around her. Her involvement in the Highland HeArt Trail carries special significance, as Highland Hospice cared for her granny during her final days after a terminal cancer diagnosis.

“Their kindness and dedication ensured she was comfortable and supported,” Clare shares. “The impact they had on my family is something I will always cherish.”

Creating this HeArt is Clare’s way of giving back, combining her passion for art with gratitude for a charity that means so much to her.

H2: Why This Matters to Us

Supporting Highland Hospice through the Highland HeArt Trail is something we’re honoured to be part of.

As a family-run Highland business, community sits at the very centre of what we do, and sponsoring Highland Heart-Full allows us to support vital care across the region while celebrating the creativity and compassion that make the Highlands so special.

See It, Support It, Share the Love

If you’re in Drumnadrochit, we’d love you to pop by The Green and see Highland Heart-Full in person. And if this HeArt speaks to you too, you can show your support by donating online.

For every £5 donated, you’ll receive an entry into a prize draw to win a commissioned original painting by Clare Silver, making your support even more meaningful.

And from us, thank you for helping to share the love, the colour and the care behind this very special Highland HeArt.
