Can you say “Harry Gow SaturYays!?”

I think we can all agree, we have found ourselves in some pretty strange times of late.

At the end of March this year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we announced the closure of all of our stores – this was to protect those that matter most to us, our staff and customers.

Fast forward a few months and we are slowly, slowly – starting to see the beginning of some kind of new normal in our sights. We have been able to begin reopening a number of our stores. Every day we will be making sure we are working in line with Government advice, we started out with a slightly smaller ‘skeleton’ team and a shorter working week.

BUT…..we are really delighted to announce that from this weekend (6th June) our open stores are now operating new (slightly) extended opening hours of 8am until 2pm – Tuesday through Saturday! To keep up to date with our latest opening times please follow our social media channels.

We know how many of you enjoy your Saturday trip to the bakers, be it to pick up some sweet treats or some freshly baked rolls and bread to accompany your Scottish breakfast, so hopefully the news that we are open on Saturdays again will allow you some routine back in your life!

We have a couple of shops which are operating slightly alternative opening times, these are
Dornoch and Brora, both of which are Tuesday-Saturday, 9am-2pm as well as Fortrose which is open Tuesday-Saturday 8.30am-2.00pm.
We love welcoming you into our bakeries and with this positive movement towards a new normality, we want to just take some time to reassure you of the steps we are taking in store – After all, our top priority still remains the safety and wellbeing of staff and customers!

When you visit us, there will be some changes that stick out, thanks to Harry’s Health and Safety overhaul! You may notice some new protective screens have been installed, these screens look like a barrier between you and the staff, but the only reason they are there is to not act as a barrier it is to keep our staff and our customers safe – for without both of you we would not be here.

We have also taken time to make sure there are plenty of notices and signs with social distancing reminders, please do take time to read these and familiarise yourself with distancing – this way we can all enjoy baking and eating Harry Gow treats safely.

And that just about sums up our latest news, we hope to see you all in store soon to celebrate the return of #SaturYay!

Stay safe and well.
