We worked in partnership with the renowned Etape Loch Ness cycle event this year which took place on Sunday 28th April 2018. Etape Loch Ness riders took on the challenge for many reasons: to achieve their own personal goals, raise money for good causes or simply to cycle in one of the UK’s most popular cycle sportives renowned for its scenery, atmosphere and warm Highland welcome. Hardy participants who completed the 66 miles/ 106km ride around Loch Ness were served a free #HarryGow Dream Ring at the finish line. Attracting around 5200 riders from all over the world, the Etape Loch Ness is now in its fifth year and has established itself as a flagstone sporting event for the area. Not only that, over the past four years the team have raised £700,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support with the hope to hit the £1 million total this year.
We baked a whopping 2250 dream rings and sausage rolls for the event finish line plus a mass of tray bakes for the fuel stations along the route.
Our team were on site to congratulate those that completed the cycling sportif and handed them a treat to tuck into. Lots of delighted faces enjoying the sweetness, knowing it was well earned after completing such an epic and scenic Scottish sporting event.
